Develop the Athlete AND the Baseball Player

Your Ascent as a youth player development revolves around more than just baseball specific training. Let us help you build a holistic athletic foundation through our Youth Development programs. While Ascent specializes in baseball training, we also prioritize helping you develop your overall athletic skills, including sprinting, strength, and agility while continuing to focus on improving your baseball skills. Our goal is to help you develop tools and skills that will play at high levels of the game!

PDP LITE

PDP Lite is our flagship foundation development training program designed for young athletes, ages 8-12, looking to take their baseball development to the next level. PDP Lite focuses on building the skills that scale by improving their sports performance, pitching/throwing and hitting. Lessons

There will always come a time in a player’s career where they need ultra focused one-on-one attention. Lessons are an excellent way to go through a major mechanical adjustment, get a much needed confident boost, or simply get your baseball fix during a season where you are playing a different sport. Our professional staff will craft sessions based on each player’s specific needs and goals.

PDP Lite/Clinics

Baseball is such a fascinating sport because of all the very different skills that go into making a complete player. At Ascent, we aim to offer programs that fit all of your specific needs! Whether you want a program that checks a lot of developmental boxes, such as PDP Lite, or something more specific, such as an Advanced Catching Clinic, keeps tabs here to see what your training options are.

Ascent’s Main Youth Player Development Principles

1

Build Tools

Players need to develop tools and skills that will play at the next level. Focusing on improving things like bat speed, throwing velocity, and general athleticism are so crucial because they are all skills that players need to possess in order to see success as they progress from level to level.

2

Learn the Game

Being really good at baseball isn’t just about having impressive physical tools. It’s also paramount to learn how to play the game the right way. Baseball IO, situational awareness, and mental toughness all play a massive role in a player’s success. Beginning to learn these skills at a young age provides a strong base for the player to build on year after year.

3

Enjoy Playing the Game

Baseball is supposed to be fun too! Youth players shouldn’t dread coming to practice or to a game, they should look forward to it. That’s why we always prioritize fun! During training, expect our staff to gamify drills or skill acquisition which serves two crucial purposes, it both creates competition and creates a fun environment which keeps players engaged and wanting more.

TRAINED BY EXPERT COACHES

We believe that the only way to reach your full potential is through custom programming by high level coaches, consistent hard work by the athlete, and a competitive culture where it all collides. Our athletes receive a customized training plan and a state of the art 32,000sq ft athletic facility that leverages cutting-edge technology to help transform their career. Our elite coaches have a track record of training and developing players of all ages in hitting, pitching, and competitive sports performance.

We don’t take pride in simply creating great players but strong, confident men and women on and off the field of play.
